Yamunotri is the source of the Yamuna River and seat of the goddess Yamuna. It is the westernmost shrine in the Char Dham pilgrimage. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, and nearby are hot springs where pilgrims cook rice and potatoes.
